Welcome to the Sandy Spring Falcon’s basketball page. We’re a relatively new program for the organization, but are looking to grow. Our goal is to field Select (travel) teams - both Boys and Girls teams - at the 5th grade through 8th grade levels. If you’re interested in forming a team, please contact Gary Duvall at gsduvall@verizon.net
Coaches can form teams by invite or via open tryouts.
Our teams typically play in Montgomery County’s Rising Star travel basketball league, but coaches can opt to play in any other leagues or tournaments as they see fit.
Each team is run as its own entity by the respective head coach. Sandy Spring Athletic Association can provide support if needed, but we want our coaches to have the freedom and flexibility necessary to run a successful team. Our commissioner can assist with administrative items though (e.g. player registration, waivers, TeamSnap, certificates of insurance, etc.).
We are not an AAU program.
